Working with a wide range of commercially relevant organisms we use our expertise in upstream fermentation processing (USP) and key downstream processing methods (DSP) to fast track your developmental projects to a successful commercial launch.

  • Solar Biotech scales up and optimizes your commercial process from bench to pilot to demo to commercial scale. We are located in Norton, VA on 18 acres of land. The two buildings on site contain a range of lab, development, pilot and commercial equipment including:

    Fermentation vessels: 6L, 125L, 500L, 4,000L, 10,000L

    DSP : Homogenizers (High-pressure, bead mill), Various Disc Stack centrifuges (DSC), Various Filtration Equipment (MF/UF), Drying technologies (freeze dryer, drum dryer)
